[07/31/97] Only one day to go! The Preview page is up, and Timeline
is nearly finished...man, you do not know tedious
until you convert a feature-length nover character by character, page by
page, chapter by chapter...oh well, it's for Jetmode, I make exceptions.
And besides, I've got the Moody Blues going nonstop! [07/28/97] Skully had to go on vacation, so he sent me the Interviews ahead of time, go and check them out! He says he will be doing two a month, be prepared, and beware for Download Central, coming soon! [07/25/97] The headers idea just plain isn't going to work--too many files, too many peoples to talk to. The Museum is completed with the addition of About Protoman and the Protoman's Birthday Homepage, and Timeline is converted up to Chapter 22. [07/23/97] Speed sent me his new sprites (the ones wearing toaster strudels), and so they're up on the Main Page. I'm beginning to see what LW admires in him...no really, go look for yourself! [07/21/97] The Museum is finished! It's totally awesome...but I'm afraid you're going to have to wait until the Second to see it. Also, tell everyone you know about the party in #phc. [07/19/97] I've just finished the Chat section! You can't see it yet--it's one of the sections going to be released August 2 at 12:00 midnight. There's going to be a HUGE party in #phc--be there or be square! Amoung the sections planned or already on their way: The Tempest 2000 MP3 Page, The #phc Chat Site, The Protoman Museum, Speed's Stupor Mage, Downloads, the new Skully's Interviews, and more! [07/11/97] DF is back up to speed now! The new Team page is up (Illumina looks a lot better and other junk you can't see), Turbo Man's button is up in the Supports (finally!), there's plans to split the Records up by years, there's plans to split the Supporters up by pages, there's plans to make a Supporters banner system, etc...The new Chat page should be up by tomorrow, if not tonight. The Museum, I'm afraid, will not be daily as I had hoped--it will launch at midnight August 1, the start of the First Anniversary. There will probably be more than thirty-one exhibits because of this. The third project that's only in the planning stages is the transformation of the Mega Man Jukebox into the Internet Jukebox, which may never happen. Stay tuned! And bribe Speed, too! [07/09/97] DF was down for most of the day so I couldn't get much done...the newly improved (images look better) Team page is up, and Matt's Mega Man 4 review has been posted. [07/07/97] W3 is back up! The Song of the Week will now only be one song, in WAV or MP3 format, depending on what you can play. If you have a player, I suggest you download the MP3, as it is around eleven times smaller. [07/06/97] I'm caught up in the email, the Song of the Week is put on hold until w3.iwl.net comes back up, the Team page is changed back, Presto is 20% done, Matt's Mega Man 3 Review is in the Game Reviews section, Shadow Man's Dark Man image now heads off the Index and Shadow is in the Credits for his good work, the TGTS link has changed to http://www.dragonfire.net/~protoman/TopGameTopSite/ until W3 comes back up, Yaz's newest, the Mega Man 7 Intro, is up in the Jukebox, and his newest version of Shade Man has been replaced as well. [06/30/97] I updated my homepage again, but that's not all! Can anybody
guess what will happen tonight at 12? That's right, the British are giving Hong
Kong back to the Chinese government! This useless fact brought to you by Speed. [06/29/97] I updated my homepage again today! Well, tomorrow's the last day that I HAVE to update, so if I do a real update, it will probably come then. [06/28/97] Well, I didn't get around to doing the real update today... Oh well. I did, however, put chapter 9 of Red Draco's "Bass is Not a Fish" up in the fanfic section. [06/27/97] I added the next section of Skyraider's "Absolute Zero" to the fanfic section. I'm also considering doing a real update, instead of these cheap ones. [06/26/97] Well, I would have put some pictures of LaDy WoLfEtTe up, but she doesn't want me to. Oh well, I think she's beautiful. :-) [06/25/97] Hey! It's Techno Pink's birthday! Wish her a happy birthday, everybody! [06/23/97] Today I updated my own page, Speed's Super Page, with two new fanfic from Bryan Lin, which will also appear in the fanfic area here. Well, the power surge is starting to go down a little, so I did a little work. Like I promised, Final Fantasy Legend 2 is up in the jukebox, but I couldn't find .mids of the boss battle or the last boss (Dreadful Fight and Save the World), but out of the ones I put up, "Burning Blood" and "Aspiration" are my favorites. [05/31/97] I've killed Ads! Rejoice! Miccalau Chat was pointless, so I got rid of it. This
also makes it kinda pointless to have a chat selection page, so I got rid
of that too. Two new jokes have been added--they're awesome! The last of
the email links are updated, and the Behind the Scenes frameset code is
updated because of the thing. Also, check out the new, fancy header for
this page (if you have Netscrape 3 or Exploder 3!). I've changed all the
stories in the Allegra section so that they match exactly with the master
copies, as well--check out the new AGTR, or A Guide
To Reading. [05/30/97] I've updated the Best of the Net page for the Return of MegaManiacs. A bunch of problems related to the recent address change are also fixed--backgrounds, etc. ...the BossPics main page is also altered to honor Slashman! Three cheers for Slashman!!! [05/25/97] Fifteen megs to sixty-five megs is quite a jump...every file that's now on Dragonfire has a funky red background. From this day on, you can expect things you...well, never expected out of this page! It starts today with T2K--play that funky music, white boy! Can you find the other differences? Ack! You can't! For all you people that don't have eyes, here we go:

The Team page is updated (sorry, Doc, but Chat has just become too complicated), TopGameTopSite is updated, the Jukebox's Other section gets a major boost (as well as a background--oops), and the Song of the Week is updated (finally!). A few new sites are also added to the Supporters list, and the Best of the Net is updated because of ECSS. [05/18/97] Check out the new joke...someone new's been added to the Supporters list, and a whole line has been added to TopGameTopSite! [05/17/97] Strikr here! I couldn't hold it in any longer...sorry! [05/15/97] FTP now runs at full speed (3k/second), because of Jeff the Terrific Sysop--you can now expect a new Song of the Week every Monday morning. And they'll be big ones. Have you checked your browser lately? The new address-- http://w3.iwl.net/~jjahnke/ --is where you are now. Strange, huh? Actually, it's called good programming. I expect all of you to update your links and PN buttons before June. Oh yes, I ask much. The new Protoman Now button's out, Gecco the Blofish has been changed to match exactly with the original hardcopy, A Guide to Reading has been written (but you can't see it), the Jokes are now in a new subdirectory (you can't see that, either), the plan of 50MB on Dragonfire has been secured, so you can expect a 20MB FanArt section in June, Protoman's Revenge: Full Version, and...you guessed it...BossPics. Ain't I great?

that best suits your interests. [04/19/97] Agh! The May Interview is already up! And I interviewed some fuel named Speed...The Tau Squad Archive is cancelled due to space constraints. Well, maybe not constraints, but to make room for the Sarlacc...and the hidden sample...the General Info's Email section has also been removed and replaced with the Email graphic in the Index. [04/18/97] The Song of the Week is finally updated! The old Song of the Week (Skull Man) is now in MIDI format, courtesy of Dave! Check it out...it's one of his best! ...and the Main Page has had its first update in a loooooooong time! Yes, that's right, Speed has officially debuted by standing around staring at the "Hi and Welcome." Heh. Here's to you, Speed! And now, because of the growing number of people helping me maintain this site, I've created the Protoman Homepage Team page. There you can see the (currently) three people that run this site, what pages they run, and can email them by clicking on their pictures. [04/15/97] I removed Mega Man X4 because I never really found the URL. Agh! Somebody new's been added to the Supporters list, too. I've also modified the Allegra section's layout to make it easier to find things and look neater, and changed the Index to match. Now you can access my Public WebHits Stats! promised. Also, I've been talking to Speed about possibly turning parts of
the page over to him. I have been short on time lately. Mega Man 8
proved that. ... I've also decided to cancel the WebHits updates in every
month in the Records. Who knows, I may not even have to update the Records
anymore, thanks to Speed! ... Mega Man 8's Sound Track is added to the

Heh heh heh. [03/12/97] Great news for everyone!! I've gotten a new chat applet that always loads, loads quickly, and shows the people that are there!! Meet me at 7:00 p.m. Central time tonight, please! I've updated the Protoman Now code (please replace it) and added Illumina's site to the Supporters list, which I thought I already did! =^y ... Trippin'! My new Jukebox system doesn't display the Jukebox until you activate it by clicking on "Jukebox" in the Index. Then, the normal setup appears. To get rid of it, click on "none" in the Games selection menu. How do you like it? [03/11/97] TopGameTopSite has been revamped, and two new MIDIs have debuted: Wily #2 and Boss Music from Mega Man 1. I'm only going to update the ZIP file once a week, because of the amount of MIDI Dave churns out each day. I've also made a small change to the popup text of the General Info section. (You know, hold the mouse pointer over the words General Info and look down at the bottom of the browser!) You can now click on Protoman's face in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen to totally reload the page, if you're using my frames while viewing someone else's page, and so forth. You shouldn't be, though, since I try hard to guard against that--other people don't, though...and now, Wily #1 from Mega Man 1 is up!! I lost it on accident, so I asked Dave for it. Yikes!! Pulp Fiction doesn't work, and I have no idea where I got it, so out the window it goes!! Speaking of the Jukebox, how do you like the new logo?? I think it's a lot better than the "tongue" one, and five fortunate other persons do too. AHHHH!!! I forgot to re-upload the Jukebox archive ZIP file after I eliminated MacBinary!!! It's uploading right now. [03/10/97] Well, I've spent the entire day recording the Mega Man X2 Soundtrack. It's now availible in the Request Song of the Week section for voting. Due to all you X fans out there, it should be rather popular...the Song of the Week is also new, and it actually works!!! No more "corrupted" or "broken" ZIP files. Day after tomorrow......Cartoon Clips and Speed Racer Quotable Quotes! [03/09/97] Red Draco's "Pulp Fiction" joke is here! Check it out! I've also made all of the Jukebox music availible for downloading in a ZIP file on the main Jukebox menu due to the increased need for the music after Eddie and Tango's stores going down. I've rearranged the my part of the FanFic section to show the Allegra Trilogy. Just click on "Allegra: The Series" and behold my best works. To...add to that excitement, I've also got a real cool contest by XZero entitled "Mega Man X5" in the Index, and the WebHits register featuring my ranking out of all their sites! They were beginning to get on my nerves, and prolonging the good stuff like Protoman's Revenge. I've replaced them all with "Download Netscape" notices. Also, the new Index classification system is in place. Makes findin' things a lot easier, eh?? It's going to be a real help when I being out the new stuff. [03/05/97] "Oh-My-Stars" has been eliminated, so the Guestbook is back!!! I've also begun work on the "Ten New Pages" to debut April 1, including the FAQs section and the Tau Squad Archive section. Also: did you notice the "WebHits" @ number above? That's the average hits per day at the First of the month. No, maybe the Fifth of the month this time, but it'll be the first from now on! [01/31/97] The Records, this, the very most important section of the
page, as gotten a facelift! Only the second one in the page's
history! This new Tables look should keep us running for quite a while. In
other news...Speed Racer has made his debut on the Protoman Homepage
in--of all places--the Mega Man Jukebox!!! Check out his theme song in the
Other section of the 'Box! [01/30/97] A new Allegra picture has been drawn and added by Lady Wolfette. [01/29/97] FanFic gets a major update, with a few new stories and millions more on the way, the Password Guide is now complete, as far as the original series goes, Lady Wolfette has submitted a new Allegra picture, and a real good one too, and the Main Page graphic has been updated. Also: a new Protoman picture, courtesy of Girl Wonder, has been introduced somewhere on the page...see if you can find it! Snakeman's Homepage has been added to the Supporters listing as well. [01/27/97] I might miss a few things, so don't go insane over it. Imagine that! Riptear's new novel is supposed to be debuting today too...if I can ever get it together! Skull Man has brought to my attention the lack of support for the Third Season of Cartoons in the Cartoon Reviews section, so I've taken a small step to fix that. The only other episode I haven't seen, Campus Commandos, had been included in the First Season as well. [01/18/97] The Password Guide gets a major upgrade using Pixelboy's so kindly provided Robot Master sprites...Supporters is also updated. [12/18/96] A new chapter has been added onto the Everybody Needs Some Help Sometime fanfic, and The Battle that would Never End has been completed. It leads right into X2. [12/16/96] Yesterday was a hard act to follow! I cleaned up The Wrath of Bass a little, made the Cantina song visible again (Yeah! It is a certain important part of the page, you know!), and installed the PR preview. How to get to it? You didn't know you could click on the Enterprise-E, did you? Eh, that's Netscape-only people. It doesn't work with any other browser. (Well, yeah, Microsoft, but who cares about them anyway!) [12/15/96] The Mega Man Jukebox Version 2.0 is released!!! Now, the songs are catagorized in the Index frame. It's a lot more organized than a table, especially now that I have all the X music! From now on, I'm going to just tell you about large updates here in the Records, not on the main page. Updating it like that just gets too annoying! Okay, Everybody Needs Some Help Sometime just got Chapter Two, and there's a new thing called The Wrath of Bass. Mac users: drag the link that says "The Wrath Of Bass" to your desktop, then double-click on it. Voulà! SimpleText! See, there are other Mac users out there. There's no way to know what would happen if you were to click on the link, but that's what you Wintel users are stuck with doing! Spinning Netscrapes are added into the Web Browser page, the Guestbook was down for a little while, and more music, thanks to the new directory mapping, is on its way soon! You have never seen a jukebox like this!!! [12/14/96] Trivia is released (let's see if you can answer...THESE QUESTIONS...), the directory mapping is improved (you see it as the new Jukebox image), two new FanFics are released, the entire site's frames now support the "new look," Frost Man (formerly Astro Man)'s Music is gone because the game is going to be out soon anyway, and the image in Web Browser is updated, again. Whew! [12/13/96] It's Friday the Thirteenth...again! What do you think of the new frameset? I need feedback! The new Mega Man Jukebox image is released, and a new ad is in the Logos section. The Rotor Jukebox is also demised to make room for new things ... but the music is still availible in the regular jukebox! ... And even more! The Counter and Time are deleted. It'll increase the load time slightly. I don't really need them anymore because I can see how popular the page really is! [12/10/96] Check out the new animation in Protoman ... Evil?? ! [11/30/96] The Rotor Jukebox is out! FTP speeds are still hampering me,
though; only two of the three planned songs currently work. The third,
Rusty Ruin zone, isn't likely to appear until FTP is fixed. There's also a
new cover shot for Rock Man 8 in the Cover Art section. Check it out! [11/29/96] It's the unexpected launch of Protoman in Chaotix! Check it out in the FanFic section! This is a crossover novel from Mega Man to a game called Chaotix on the late Genesis 32X. Perchance some of you have heard about it. If not, you'll be able to see what all the critters look like by way of my comic book-adapted images. A few bugs are fixed, the pic of the enhanced page in Web Browser is updated, and the Links page gets a new link as well. [11/28/96] Zounds! More sounds! You've probably heard most of them by now...you haven't?? Well, it's another excuse to totally re-view my entire site. RedDraco's FanFic (Zero Tolerance) was updated yesterday, but I forgot to announce it! You'll know by now how I did it. That's where the major announcements too big for a Font Size of 3 are going to go. ... It's amazing what a new look can do for a page! Don't see it? Well, uh... clear your cache!!! Huh huh huh... [11/27/96] Ever sat and watched a file upload for two days? I have, and thanks to my efforts, the Song of the Week is back up.
