I need a good shooter
« on: November 11, 2005, 03:21:21 am »
I need a new shooter game to try out. Any shooter, be it horizontal, vertical, first person, third person [I can get those high mem games at school with the Superline]

I have played most of the R-type series, especcially 3 for SNES, Starfox, Axelay, Gradius, Descent [duh] Unreal Tournament, so on and so forth.

Any other good ones you all can recomend? I'm in the kick, so to say.

Max Payne. Seriously. One of Rockstar's good games before turning to GTA and all that stuff. It's on PC and PS2.

Soon to be a major motion picture!

Okay, herb: I hope you don't mean Raiden the DOS version. I used to have it, and it wasn't that great.... Mainly the lack of sound, i think. [that reminds me.... I should try and find Galactix on the internet.... that was an awesome DOS vertical shooter...]

And no one has mention Gradius because I've already played them all. Ones that are emulatable, anyways. [and Parodius, yes]

Oh, and I forgot to mention, i have played Gige Wing and Zero Wing and Aeroblasters. Giga Wing was awesome, if massively way too hard.

I'll give MUSHA a try, and Galaga.... That was NES, right?

And Yamino, what system is Geist for?

Geist is for the Cube.

a good horizontal shooter is Hellfire .. . . . or Hellsomething for Genesis.

I"m assuming you want non-console games.

ewww, Max Payne.

>_> Space Invaders give that a whirl.  Bubble Bobble is technically a shooter too because you throw out bubbles.
