Zoinks?
Swifty, don't you watch Scooby-Doo and hear Shaggy saying that all the time? :)

I do, but hearing zoinks reminded me of Pinky. He doesn't say it, it jsut amde me think of him.

I am an avid animation fan but most hana-barbera toons were the same thing over and over again with teens solving mysteries. The best thing they ever made were the flinstones.

Hanna Barbera cartoons sucked, that's why we watched them, they were cheap, and very limited animation, but they were funny.
Soon to be a major motion picture!

Reluctantly quoted for truth.

And on that note, I cue the music.

Anyone ever watch their take on the thing? For some reason when I was in PR I couldn't stop watching that show....
Maybe it was for the nostalgia of old toonami, or maybe its cause it seemed to be the only HB toon that didn't involve teens solving mysteries.

Well, they were popular back in the years. :P  In fact, those cartoons were the only ones to watch back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. :P

Looney Toons is WB, not HB. Banana Splits was HB, but they're not really a cartoon..

Old as in 80's and 90's: Yes, they beat every other era of cartoons

New as in 2000: There WERE some amazingly good cartoons, but they either got cancelled (Courage the Cowardly Dog, Sheep In The Big City, Megas XLR, Time Squad, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones, when he had the text to speech voice I mean, when they switched his voice to that kid, I started losing interest...notice how Cartoon Network got rid of EVERY single good show).  Orrr, they were horribly mutated over the years (Such as Johnny Bravo, whereas I didn't like the first season too much, I loved the second season and think it's one of the funniest seasons a cartoon ever had, then the third season they went back to the old animation, art, AND humor style of the first season for unknown reasons.  Don't even get me started on what they did with Dexter).

I'm not too into the older cartoons like Scooby Doo and The Jetsons and other stuff.  The Flinstones and Loony Toons are about as far as I can go for cartoons from that era.

Oh man, i thought I was the only person in the world who liked Sheep in the Big City! It's one of those cartoons that looks terrible, and shouldn't be funny, but it is! Robot Jones, too. But that had a good look (reminded me a lot of the early 80s...
