We never did finish that RP, did we? I think Pyro-GX would win, but Arwings just have to follow the laws of physics (For instance, to move in a direction you need thrusters that point the opposite way)

Mainly because Arwings usually apply to this thing called 'gravity'. I managed to simulate it in my Pyro-GX rather accurately with a modified G-Diffuser of sorts, to create a null-field around the Pyro-GX in which the laws of gravity don't apply, kind of like a tractor beam around it sort of, that resits gravity functions. It applies to whatever the shield is circling. [That's why i don't bother with armor on the Pyro-GX, just shields, cuz when the shield wears off it's basically screwed anyways.]

A wee much technobabble, but point being, the Arwing has homing lasers [as I found out...] nova bombs [more powerful than Mega missiles] and a faster firing laser. Pyro-GX just has wierd flying patterns, very small size, and about.... oh, 20+ weapons.

Homing blasters arent' the most accurate things ever... They're mostly meant to get near an enemy then kill it as well as several enemies around it for higher score.

Oh, in that case, a simple afterburner burst should easily avoid it. [play Descent II, if not already, to FEEL THE BURN. {really, the afterburner moves you DAMN fast}]

That'd probably work very well, actually. As long as you're at least 2 sM away from the blast point you should be fine.

And unfortuneatly, Homing and Smart Missiles can't be outrun [not easily for an Arwing, since boost works for far less time than a Pyro-GX afterburner] and they home excellently. [smart missiles are what the Superhulk fires off, a missile that explodes into 6-10 plasma blobs that seek into you. Very destructive.]

Aah, but all you have to do to throw off a lock is make a U-turn or do a loop. As long as the smart missile doesn't blow up at the point you were at you'll be fine, and although one can control when a Nova Bomb explodes, I dont' think the same can be done with smart bombs (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Smart bombs? Oh man, I forgot about those! Lay a few of those puppies out and have a huge swarm of plasma gunk flying into your tailpipe.

And how can the lock just be 'thrown off' from a tight U-turn? It would still track you just fine, it would just have to do a simaler U-turn.

Not bloody likely, Sophih's out having a social life and Kasai's watching TV. And I'm not about to strip for you.
