Shut up, you. OK, a few corrections:
- Dr. Robotnik's name was *ALWAYS* Dr. Eggman in Japan. It wasn't used over here until 1999, when SEGA decided to "universalize" the Doc's name. HOWEVER! Robotnik is still a "canon" name in the Sonic world, because of Eggman's relatives. Therefore, his full (official) name is really Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.
You fool. You forget to realize one thing.
Sonic was released in America FIRST, not Japan, even though it was made by the Japanese. And this just in. It says Pennsylavnia on my location. I don't fucking live in Japan. If I want to call him by his original US name, you bet your god damn ass I will. I am not Japanese, and have been used to the name Robotnik for over 12 years now. If Sega wants to shove his Japanese name down my throat, then fuck them. It just proves the fact that someone needs to slap American kids in the face and realize WE ARE NOT JAPAN.
Seriously, look at Saturday morning cartoons, it's all anime. Not just that, but it's all BAD anime.
And honestly, when was the last time "Dr. Robotnik" was mentioned in a game? I'd say Sonic Adventure (And the SA2 Battle manual, but that wasn't in-game) was the last. It's all bullshit, his name is "Dr. Eggman" now, and Sega has dissapointed me because of it.
If you want to take this matter further, I will GLADLY argue about this over AIM.
And I admit I was wrong about the Slash Man thing. Retro told me Slash Man's name was changed to Beast Man in the Battle Network series.
One more thing, don't ever tell me I need a lesson in the history of video games. You'll regret it if you try me. And I am a very modest person.
That is all.
