Billy is different in that it is 2 to 8 times faster than Winamp. For example, in Billy performance tests opening 4000 tagged MP3s takes about 4 seconds to load up. In Winamp, which is considered fast, this same task takes over one minute. Billy also uses half the memory as Winamp, and has 28% less CPU load in its decoding engine. It is freeware, works on any version of Windows from 95 up and is small enough to fit onto a floppy disk.
Blatently plagerized from ABS

It may look cheap and crappy, but does that really matter when all it does is sit in your systray and play music? Not to me. I've been using this for a while, and I like it. It's not skinnible, but that's its charm. It's just faster. I heartily reccomend it!

I've already lsitened to all my mp3's,s icne they're all on CD's. I needs me Wniamp plugins, matey.

I may use that on the Pentium 90, though..... If there's a DOS version.... I doubt it though. Hell, I'll use QCD for any mp3 playing in DOS....

Indeed. If I ever get myself a computer, it'll be a linux box. I promise you that. I use enough Linux aps as it is anyway, so why not just make the full leap? GIMP, Gaim (Even though I can't use that anymore :( ), I'll have to find a linux browser... but oh well.

I'm sure there's a Firefox for Linux.I'm not sure, but most likely.

and nothing, reapeat, NOTHING, beats the feel of going cd\. Ah, so many years of it..... It's like second nature.... And it makes me feel good to do that, plus it's great practice for HTML coding habits. [bbcode too]

c:/cd\descent

c:/DESCENT/descentr.exe

Easy as that! ^_^ Better than going through windows explorer a whole bunch and scrolling through lists and lists. At least to me and Phex....

I would have found it easier to just type

CD DESCENT
DESCENTR

But that's just me, I dont' go by the book because books are backwards and take you through extra superfluous steps.
