I sometimes frequent the Castlevania dungeon (
www.classicgaming.com/castlevania) and I've been playing Castlevania for a lot of my gaming life (CV 2 for NES was oen of my first console games I've played) as little known as that is, I love Castlevania. Konami does a great job on a lot of htem, especcially Symphony of the Night and the GBA titles (except Hamony of Dissonance. *shudders*)
But beside that Aria of Sorrow was definetly the third best Castlevania game that I've played. (Symphony natually beats it, and NOTHING will top CV 4 for SNES for me.) I liked the games characters, the weapons, the whole Soul System, the soundtrack I love to listen to casually (thanks to GYM's. Whee!) and I thought it was a really well made game that deserved the Castlevania title.
But now....
For this....
Take a whiff:
http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/Games/dos.htmlWhat I like a lot about Dawn of Sorrow is the initials for it are DoS. To that I say DING! Wait, I'm detracting from DOS. Right. *smacks self*
And, well, this makes me wish I could afford a DS. Though, I think Lazlo said he had one, so.... I'll have to go by what he says, if he gets this new Castelvania game. I don't know how much Lazlo is into Castlevania, so.......
All in all, I can expect a lot from CV DoS (the acronym kicks ass) at least more than from the new 3D one for Xbox, I haven't bothed to remember what it's called. (Unless Konami pulls a Metroid on us and the 2D one is no good but the 3D one is awesome, as in Metroid Fusion and Prime)
