If you haven't listened to virt's mega Super Metroid melody which covers every song (except Wrecked Ship Ambience according to him) from the game, you're missing out.

It's a monster length wise, about 21 minutes...but it's pretty much worth your time.

WOW. thanks so much for pointing this out. who knows how long it would have taken me to find out on my own. his part 1 is pretty special to me because he allowed me to use the final five notes in the oldest metroid 2002 station id.
