No, SPC's do not suck.... SPC's are not higher-pitched than normal...
Well, if u convert them to IT format they sound like normal!
I used OpenSPC to IT dump... (DOS)
Problem is that it doesn't work with AC97 (Worked with my SB Audigy card)
Here's what i did...
opened a CMD dos window.
typed: cd E:
E:\ cd music
E:\Music\ cd Snes
E:\Music\Snes\ cd ospcf301
E:\Music\Snes\ospcf301\OPENSPC -i -f 96000 Theme1.spc
- File played all the way through
Wrote Theme1.IT successfully
(Dont worry about how it sounds in the program, cause when it writes the file it sounds like normal when played in the program listed below)
Then, i used a Windows program called: OpenMPT
- Executed mptrack_P4_Athlon64.exe
(File is playable and editable through the program)
- Change Sound Sample Rate to 96000Hz within the programs settings
Then if i wanted to convert to mp3 i would have to firstly convert to WAV cause MP3 is only supported (In that program) upto 22050 16bit stereo).
So, then i used a program called: dbPoweramp
to convert to Mp3.
After u have done this, the file will sound the same-pitched as what it should sound like when playing the game.
If im wrong, i deserve to be flammed (Most people don't understand me anyway).
