Swiftman, no offense, but it's safe to say that unless you're richer than Bill Gates, that's impossible, heh.  Sorry to break it to ya, buddy.

It's snot impossible, Yosh. My school is going to get hooked up to the Canada Superline, which has a bandwidth of 4 GB/sec. My school is gonna have it, many large businesses have it, and it's available to any person who can get hooked up to it. (it costs roughly $2000 a foot for an extension, but if I live next to a big company, like Yodda Yodda in Edmonton, I should be fine. The most expensive part of the Superline is getting the connection there, after that it's pretty cheap. [roughly $60 a month, I believe.])
So yeah, 4 gb/sec isn't impossible. It's fairly new around here, but it's flourushing under those who can get connected to it.

I guess it's one of the magical things you get by living in Canada, I suppose, cause I never heard of anything faster than T-3.

But then who will I harrass? I'm fine with my 300kbps because I've never been to a server that gave me more than 20, but still, your Canada Super Line sounds freaking awesome for BT! Gaah, I wonder if I can get a sattelite connection to it.

a "limitless" bandwidth server costs $100 a month?

No, it's $100 more than we're paying now.

I'm thinking that enough people would be interested in downloading to donate a bit.. if you made a PayPal account for donations, and, say, required each unique IP to donate at least $1 a month for direct downloads, wouldn't that solve a lot of trouble? ;)

No, people are cheap.
A lot say they will give money.
They don't.

A lot of us lack the means to give to TPH. Believe me, if I had the means, and more than $10, I would give. What do you expect me to do, take this $1.25 in Canadian change and mail it to Lubbock?

OK EVERYBODY LISTEN CLOSELY I REALLY WANNA SLOVE ALL OF THIS GRIPING ABOUT BT

1. ok first go to www.bittorrent.com
2. download it and install if need be (i dont remember if you have to install BT, but do it if you have to (obviously) )
3. go to TPH's download page, right click on the torrent name, and click on "Save target as"
4. save the torrent file to your desktop. double-click on the file and one of two things happens:
         I. if it is a single file download, it asks where you want it to download onto your computer
II. If it is multiple files, it will ask you where you want it to create a folder for the files on your computer

5. The downlaod process begins, just chill out for a bit. If anything goes wrong, you can restart and the download will resume from where you left off

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION. NOW, IF ANYONE ASKS HOW TO WORK BT, KILL THEM FOR IGNORANCE OR SEND THEM TO THIS THREAD B/C WE ALREADY HAVE LIKE 5 COMPLAIN THREADS AND WE DONT NEED ANYMORE

im not mad at anyone in particular i promise
