The only rips I really mind being recorded off an emulator is Genesis music.  Anything else isn't very noticeable, if not a bit more clear, but there's a distinct difference in emulated Genesis sound and the real thing, and it almost always ends up sounding worse and sometimes distorted (Ecco the Dolphin, Vectorman, Comix Zone, etc.).

You could try the megaman X collection, either on the Wii or the GC.
