Gee, Kawaks works fine with me.
What kind of an error do you get? usually XP is good with errors.

What're your system specs, Trigger? Maybe there's something there that makes it not work.

Uhhhhhh ....I dunno...I know many things, but not that of the mighty computer. >.> I barely know how to type in a Url address without making the simplest of mistakes.
Too many fancy words, and acrynymes, and I don't have the patience to learn them all.
But if you tell me what the 'specs' consist of I can tell you what I have.

Click start, run and "dxsetup" (minus quotes) provided you have direct X, it'll tell you stuff like your mhz, level of 3D card you have, MB of ram, etc. That's the kinda specs I was thinking of.,

GEEZ!! That's at least 3 times more powerful than Swift's computer! Maybe your computer is too good for Kawaks... But maybe try the extensive list of them at
www.zophar.net
perhaps something there works.

Oh yeah, there's your problem, Trigger. Get directX from
www.directx.com
and it might be fixed.
And what kind of rom are you loading? If it's a neogeo rom, you need the bios before itll work. If it's MvC you're loading, that's something else...

When I went to Run-->DirectX it just opened a folder with a bunch of pics of controllers and joysticks.

no, it once it's installed you don't actualy run it. I don't think there's even a 'directX.exe' file. It should just automatically integrate with your system. (I'm surprised you didn't have it before. Most PC games and emulators require it)
If you want to scan your system specs, just click run and 'dxsetup', minus quotes. But I guess if you have that sticker, you don't need to do that.

"dxsetup" still comes up with an error....and if I did't need to do all of this....why did I do all of this?
I already use alot of emulators and such. they never said they required anything else.

zsnesw needs directX, but snes9xw doesn't. I think you do need a working form of direct x, since the CPS2 is probably more hefty to emulate than an SNES or Genesis.
Maybe do a spyware scan? You probably already have something like Adaware SE, if you're as big on the internet as you are.
