The DS Lite...
« on: March 01, 2006, 08:32:14 pm »
...is sold out.  That's right folks, it's March 2nd in Japan right now and the DS Lite is ALREADY SOLD OUT.

Nintendo only plans to ship 650,000 DS and DS Lite units combined in Japan for March.  When do you think the Japanese gamers will take to the street rioting? ;)
agerly anticipating:
Super Smash Bros. Revolution, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and last but not least, DDR SuperNOVA!

It all depends on how the buttons feel until I decide whether to get this.  Hopefully they made them a bit bigger and feel more like NES/SNES buttons instead of the flimsy, small GBA SP buttons.

Not to mention this used DS I bought in November sucks.  The B button sometimes sticks until I keep pressing it every so often and the top screen is REAL flimsy.

I heard that the DS Lite buttons were smaller and closer together than the buttons on the normal DS, but I'm not sure how accurate my source was...

As I haven't bought a DS at all yet, and Reggie has said the normal DS will cease productino after DS Lite launches in the US... the time to decide will be coming soon.

If the buttons were just a bit larger than SP buttons, that would be perfect

Sold out in less then a day, and yet I phail to be surprised...

...course, that COULD explain why many JPN stores didn't take preorders for the DS-L...

That was very bad for the Japanese people >_>.  Now casual Americans will think Japanese people are hobos with no jobs.

But why?  Hobos are cool!  *SHOT*

Also, check out Penny Arcade's home page today.  One of the guys gives his views on the recent DS situation.

I bought it for the improved design.  I wasn't aware I'd be getting two SUNS as well...
