-Blu-Ray players cost $1,200-$1,800+ (HD-DVD players cost $499-$799+)
-Sony's Blu-Ray player won't arrive until summer
-Dead or Alive 4 for XBOX 360 outsells all PSP titles in Japan
-GameCube still outselling Xbox 360 in Japan
-DS sells over 13 million worldwide since launch (DS can well overtake GC by the end of 2006, I say, which is kind of sad..)
-Japan seeing a real DS shortage (sales are crazy in Japan, hundreds of thousands every week)
-Take Two expects PS3 to launch in late 2006, lowers earnings expectations, delays 360 titles, will port GTA PSP to PS2 not even half a year after its release....
AND LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST:
-Peter Moore is officially a jackass. There shouldn't be any doubt as to why DreamCast tanked now, regardless of Sega's financial situation. First Peter Moore says "Xbox 360 is a superior culture than Sony [PS2]" (in Japan), next Peter Moore says "Japanese recording is primitive" (in response to being confronted by 360's low sales).
I say Nintendo has the right picture, and Microsoft and Sony are losing it.
