The story.

To to sum it up for you dumb lazy people, he thought Wikipedia was a prank site, and under a prominent newspaper editor he wrote that the man was linked to the JFK assasination, and after it stayed on for months, things snowballed from there. When they were searching for the man who did it, the guy responsible came forward and said that he did it as a joke, not knowing that people used the site for actual reference. The guy who did it as a joke lost his job.
