Looking for advice
« on: December 01, 2005, 04:47:45 pm »
Okay, so now with my VERY LIMITED skills in action scripting, I'm also working on a sort of game....like....thing.  And their is this one character I made for this that I need help with.  You see, I've been drawing concept designs for this character for *pshew* like, since last April, and have yet to come across a design I was happy with.  Well now, here it is, sort of, a design that I feel is, well, okay.

Any suggestions on what I could do to improve upon the character?  Feels like there's something missing.

Why did I even bother...

I'll just go with Byte here and give her some pants, being that that is the best suggestion I've heard so far.

I know what's missing.

Her ARM.

Really though, I could give advice, but I don't know what mood you're going for with the character.

I think the skirt is fine, but you should tatter it up a little and make the shoes look less umm. . . blocky.

Yeah, the top half is fine, but the dress is a we bit too perfect and clean for a zombie wearing bandages and stitched together, tatter it up a bit and same for the shoes. Plus that arm is a bit strange. For some sort of pincer claw it looks a little too thin, you aint gonna get enough hydraulics in that space to make those pincers open and close satisfactarily and with enough 'punch' (as in strength).

You got off before I could tell you what I thought, Skull. *smack* Now I have to do it here. -_-

Her feet, look stupid to me. They look like freaking BLOCKS. You need her feet to be showing, and FESTERING. With some HUUUUUGE funky toenails.

Her skirt nees to be torn from halfway down, revealing some SERIOUSLY messed up legs, with like warts, and welts all over them.  And chunks of skin gone.

She needs some bodily irregularities. Her skin needs to be dried out, cracked, and such. If your going for detail that is. And if you ARE going for detail, add some spots, blood, or just some strange liquid, on her bandages.

But, that's just for appearence. Charactorwise, I'd say give her something that helps her personality (if she even has one) shine through. Some object that represents how she feels about something, or someone. A necklace, or some strange tatoo engraved on her.

That's all I can really think of at the moment. I fI think of anything usefull, I'll be sure to tell you.

Well okay, this is what I was looking for.

Okay, so the arm needs to change and the legs need to change, all right.  I'll admit I wasn't happy with those either, sort of why I was asking for help.

Oh and Drift, I told ya I had to go to class.  I probebly also should have told ya that I couldn't afford to be late again or I would instantly fail it.

Anyways, I post the updated version later when I finish it.
