we use AIM transfers between people on campus, 2 gigs/sec minimum

Sure, but I don't think that one is NEAR as easy to obtain as the Canadian counterpart. nearly every business and school in Canada is connected to the Canada Superline. I dunno about the American verison.... My knowledge on it is lacking...
