Anyone who owns Mega Man X7 come here

Recently (the past few minutes, after a long day of otherwise unfruitful research) I've learned how to rip a certain form of PS2 streamed audio.  I successfully converted Mega Man X8's audio into waves, and am in the process of editing them to replace the rip I previously uploaded (I like my own work over others' ;))

If anyone owns Mega Man X7, could you insert the disc into your computer and find any and all files with the extension .AFS?  If you do, I'd appreciate it getting into my hands ;)

I found no files with an AFS extension, but there were quite a few with an ADS extension.

Yeah, ADS files can be converted.  I don't suppose there's any chance you could upload the SND directory and let me have it?  (I like my lossless collection... :D)

Yeah, I figured that.  That's why it was a question more of whether or not Bladegash wants to upload it.


MMX8 progress:
ADX audio is interesting.. it's the opposite of XA audio.

XA audio was 37.8KHz.  Single-loop songs were looped once.  Songs that indefinitely looped were loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.

ADX audio, on the other hand, is 48.0KHz.  Single-loop songs are looped once.  Songs that indefinitely loop are looped once with about five seconds of a restart of a loop at the end.  This makes it much harder to cut and paste songs together.... (Try cutting and pasting together a hiccup-less Mega Man 1 Boss Battle song!)  On the other hand, most of the songs I've listened to repeat almost hiccupless, with the exception of a few songs with crescendo intros.

Yeah... I'm beginning to wonder whether or not the Mega Man X8 Gamerip I uploaded was a line-in recording or an ADX-conversion.  Because if it was an ADX-conversion, the ripper did a great job of pasting songs together....

it was released on disc in japan, was it not? may have been the work of the composer then, line in from his equipment.

No, the Mega Man X8 OST hadn't been released anywhere at the time the gamerip was released...

The X8 gamerip was probably a line-in recording, because I've noticed that it's missing a song in the AFS/ADX files (the song is VERY similar to the Gateway Stage song, it's kind of like Stage Select 2 and one of the Sigma Stage songs in X5, the way they're similar).

As for X7... It seems that Mega Man X7 used a mix of streamed and sequenced audio, as each file in the ADS directory is its own song file (and that leaves out some twenty tracks in the OST).

A digital extraction of the PS2 version of TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is IMPOSSIBLE.  It uses raw PS2 ADPCM files, only each song has a different interleave value!  They seem to be somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000.. it's also interesting to know that many TS:FP songs are encoded in 32.0KHz instead of 44.1KHz.

Right now, I've just finished my BT download of Tekken 5 :)  I'm going to see if I can extract those songs...
