No. I've had quite a few phpbbs. . . and I'm pretty sure they can't. Unless you install a mod.

Believe me, I am a moderator on another PHPBB based forum (Here)and used to have one myself, I know what I'm talking about.

However, mods can only ban people in their posts, only admins can ban people who have made no posts, and IP ban people.

Are you sure, there isn't like a mod installed?

Like when that one pokemon guest was posting, he couldn't get banned until Protoman came here...and I'm friends with a mod on my webhosts forums, and he needs an admin to ban anyone(and it's phpbb)

Guests are different. They aren't users so you have to IP ban them to get rid of them, and of course, only admins can do that.

To my padawan Cal, Your randomness can be annoying, but you must learn to control your new thread habit. I don't do that for obvious reasons.

And to Herb, if you want a thread where they shout "Zeig heil!" all the freaking time(aka no imagination), might I suggest the forums at Stage Select.com? I've never met a more nazi-ish bunch of forum posters in my life! For crying out loud, the avatar I have here, a moderator took off! No humor there at all!
