sweet. yeah, wiping in a circular motion doesn't do much except move grime around on the disc so different places skip. ;)

THANK YOU FREE RADICAL!!!

My TimeSplitters Future Perfect rip will be done very, very shortly ;)  They have all the music unlocked and ready in the Map Maker, couldn't be easier....

*edit*
argh, more problems.  I keep getting frequent hiccups while recording TSFP.  I haven't tried recording other things yet, but I'll see whether or not its the disc, the adapter, or the cables..

Based on my conferences with fellow GameFAQs posters, the hiccups in TS:FP's GC music occurs with everyone.  Please excuse any hiccups you find in my rip, and the great music should make up for the slight defacings...

The funny thing is that the hiccups ALWAYS AND ONLY appear in the left channel, never in the right.

Also, the Fountain of Dreams song has some issues. (Brief pauses)

Neo, can you re-rip it? Make it hiccup free.

...sorry, guys.
I've canceled my TimeSplitters: Future Perfect rip.  As I only have a GameCube, EVERY song but the main menu theme has hiccups and pops, but every song seems to have messed up intros too.  Until I acquire a PS2 or Xbox to line-in record (or hopefully for PS2, for a simple XA rip), it won't be done....

I'd like everyone's feedback on an issue here....

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect for GameCube has audio problems.  There's frequent popping and hiccuping in the left channel of the audio.  And it happens in the left channel ONLY.  Would anyone be interested in me releasing my rip of TS:FP in mono format, with the left channel muted and the right channel being the only mono channel?  (some of the music is GREAT, so I'm trying to improvise here ;) )

*edit*
well, this was a stupid question.  Of course, I'm a huge TimeSplitters fan, so I'll be uploading my rip in mono format anyways ;)  Besides, it'll take up a lot less space than normal rips, and it'll sound just as great

*edit*
Appears that hiccups/pops do NOT only occur in the left channel.  They also occur in the right channel for the STORY SONGS ONLY, but more softly than if the left channel was not muted.  Therefore, the rip will consist of 13 songs with occasional pops and everything else having no pops.  (its still mono, remember)

oh, lol, no.  It's ELECTRONIC ARTS that hates us.  There's a reason why their stock fell $11.20 not a typo eleven dollars and twenty cents the other day.

*edit*
ARGHH!  Okay, my FINAL decision, or at least what I hope is my final decision:

I am currently still working on recording the music to TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, but it will PROBABLY not be released.  And it's not only because of the pops and ticks.  Those could be removed by making the songs mono out of the right channel, but the loop points and beginning seconds are still messed up.  So, unless I manage to get a PS2 copy off eBay really cheap and hope for XA audio, it's not going for a public release.  It's so sad how EA made me jump around in circles like this...

lol

*edit*
Okay.. this is my final decision.  Upon the discovery of a nice little feature in Nero Wave Editor called the Declickor, I have decided to resume progress on my TimeSplitters: Future Perfect rip.  I can remove the clicks with very slight quality loss, and when encoded to LAME mp3s, it could be explained away as lossy compression anyways.  Therefore, it'll sound just about perfect when it originally wasnt ;)
