There's your first problem. First of all, it doesn't even list Mario Bros. as one of the launch titles. MARIO BROS was indeed a launch title. SUPER Mario Bros, however, was not. I think it came out a few weeks, perhaps a month or two, later. Whoever edited that wikipedia article fails at comprehention.
Also, the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt compilation did not become packaged with NES until 1988. Three years after its launch.
You have to remember that the true NES launch was in New York in 1985, sort of as a test if it would do well in the US (That Wikipedia article makes no mention of this). It was packaged with ROB and Duck Hunt. It did tremendously well, and was released nation-wide soon after, THAT was when Super Mario Bros. came out in the US.
