I have a list of what I hate, but I'll post it later.
-
I hate when people start threads trying to get others to say something, but don't say anthing themselves.

Ok.

*sings*
Here's a song for anyone
who's ever hated...
in the key of Grrr...
Can hate be good? Can hate be great?
Can hate be good? Can hate be great?
Can hate be something we don't hate?
We'd like to know... why it is so.
That certain disels must be slow
and thwack and thrum... and pong
and hum and clatter-clat
Hate something. Change something.
Hate something, change something,
make something better-r-r-r
Ohh isn't it just bliss... when a diesel goes like this?
Hate something. Change something.
Hate something, change something,
make something better-r-r-r...
Anyone else seen that Honda advert? I swear it's the best advert EVER :D[/i]
-
No and no.
-
Yes and yes.
-
Anyways, back to the subject...
I HATE:
~ The town I live in.
~ Most of the people in the town I live in.
~ Babies & small children (DIIIIEEEE! *eats them all*)
~ Bullies.
~ Animal abusers & people who have no respect for animals, or any other form of nature actually.
~ Stuck up people, people who think they're perfect, and people who think they're always right >>
~ People who don't appreciate others opinions/beliefs, and have no respect for others or even themselves.
~ Homework, Coursework and Exams ><
~ People who can't be arsed to spell properly or even talk legibly. Like Omfg lolz!1!one!
~ Chain e-mails/letters/notes on DA, and those endless questions you're meant to post and have people answer...thoroughly nosey, and thoroughly annoying x.x
~ Junk mail about enlarging my penis. It's big enough already thanks!
Ta-da!
-
I hate kids. I, fortunatly, never was one.
I hate when its over 90 degrees (Sorry don't know Celsius) outside with 90+% humidity
I hate many things in general. Some people think I have anger issues, but believe me, its all well placed.
I hate cockroaches. Seeing them makes me want to destroy. DESTROY!!!!!
And thas aboutit.
-
~ Junk mail about enlarging my penis. It's big enough already thanks!
Funny coming from you, Bu.
All I hat eis really all everyone else hates. Racists, fag haters, nature killers, so on and so forth. Except kids. I love kids! And babies. Heck, anything young I like.
-
I hate:
-People who complain and expect others to do all the work
-popcorn without butter
-University of Georgia
-annoying people
-not being able to list everything that i hate
-
I have two words on one thing I hate........
SHINOBU PLANTMAN.
Not only is he named for a REALLY SUCKY Robot Master, but he abuses his powers. (He warned me cause he can......what a faggot.)
-
-new thing added to the list!!!!
When people compare things to Hitler. Comparing someone to Hitler is demeaning to you, the one you are argueing with, and Hitler. So don't do it. Seriously, Hitler worked too hard at being the most evil, foul, and out right biggest bastard on the face of the planet, just to be compared to any old Tom Dick and Harry that doesn't agree with you. People need to grow up and stop name calling.
-
New one:
WINDOWS XP.
*kills everything in sight screaming like the maniac she is and emitting the longest stream of cursewords she's ever cursed*
Nothing can describe my hate for Win XP. Nothing.
-
agreed
-
I too agree with you, Bu. Win XP is the bane of all OS's. Win 98 SE is PERFECT, I'd say. Just a few things here and there changed, and it'd be GOLD.

This just about sums things up ^^
-
That's why I use Macintosh...
-
Really, Jehuty? Hm. You're certainly different than the rest of us. Not a bad thing, good to have variety. I haven't used a mac since 1993....
-
I've always had a Mac and probably always will. My Dad likes Macs.......... alot. That explains why I've always had one.
-
I used to share the same naive opinion about Windows XP, good thing I know how to use it, though.
-
I never knew until recently that there were different kinds of computers. I grew up with Macs. If I tried to get a Windows, my Dad would not approve. Windows are his sworn enemy.
-
Sounds like a member of the Mac Panthers!
-
I knew about Macs, in fact, I once poisoned my computer to look like a mac, I learned soon after though that that was a bad thing. Never looked sexier, though.
-
Mac Panthers??? Who are they? Sounds like a group of ninjas that steal Macs.
-
Isn't Panther the OS that predates OS X Tiger?
-
It's from ctrl alt del. www.cad-comic.com read up on that awesome webcomic.
-
Ctrl Alt Del rules all other comics. Y'know, excpet MSFT (http://www.paranoiddreams.com).
*Is the #1 fan of MSFT!*
-
MS Paint Masterpieces forever! WHAHOO! [/fanboy]
-

-
Never heard of Paint Masterpieces..

-
yay! Another MSPM enthusiast! Thanks, Jehuty!
-
Bleh... BnG...
-
Yeah. I'm not much of a BnG enthusiast, but MSPM is cool. So, you should go check it out.
-
Yeah, normal BnG is downright awful, but MSPM and Metroid Third Derivitaive are great
-
I hate it when people take a sprite from the Mario, Megaman, or Sonic games, edit them little or nothing, and call their own.
THATS A LOAD OF BULL HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONKEY.
-
Indeed. Recolors aren't good anymore. 3 years ago, sure, top notch, but nowadays, not so much. Fortunatly, DisgruntledFarret of MSPM makes his own sprites now, right from hand I'm sure. He doesn't even use the original sprites anymore. it's just incredible....
-
Your right, Swift
-
does he draw them, or make them pixel by pixel? Both are good, I'm just wondering.
-
I'm not quite sure. I bet he does, though.
-
He could have modified the original sprites so much that they're comepletely different. I'm not sure. But eitehr way, he's just incredible. Ferrt does a good job. I love how he remade the first megaman game, and Polka. Fodder is cool too....

Stalin was much worse, although I think we can all agree that they both suck pretty damn bad. Estne?
Zaijan,
Tiger
-
I most wholeheartedly agree with you, Herr Tiger.
-
i hate when i can't find the solution to a problem, because i'm old enough by now to know that there's always a way around something ... it's just a question of whether i'm sharp enough to see it.
-
true that
nothing is impossible
-
unfortunately, only on some days of the week is it true that "impossible is nothing."
-
I once made a list of things I hated, got to about 99 or 100, and then I decided to stop because there was too much other stuff.
-
Alright, I think I know what I hate. I hate the way some of my friends act. They can be a bunch of idiots sometimes. I no longer attend the parties that they hold because everytime I go there, here's how the party generally goes. "Hey, wassup!!1" "Do u wanna play Halo!!1" "Halo is teh best game in teh world!!1" "All other games suck because it's not Halo!!1" "HAHA, I shot teh grunt!!" "OMG, you screenwatcher!!!" "U suck cuz you don't play Halo!!1!" "All games on PS2 and Gamecube suck cuz they aren't on X-Box!!1" "Metroid Prime? Why are you playing that? It's just a Halo rip-off!!!" (WTF?!) >_<
That was enough for me. I left them. They started acting like I didn't exist. Idiots.
-
The thing that gets my goat the most are people who are rascist and hate for their sexual preference. I mean, my girlfriend is japanese, and one of my very good friends is a lesbian. Prime example of a person that would ahte both: My brother. he hates gays/les's and 'non-whiteys' And my parents are damn close to the same way, only they're more lenient on the whole same sex thing. My brother would for SURE not allow Faris or Morrigan in his place. My parents will allow them both, but they won't look too kindly on Morr. Faris they already came to terms with, but I KNOW Morr won't be very welcome. Sure, they'll let her in, since she's my first girlfriend and all, but I know when they don't feel respect for a person, and I don't want Morr to feel that. I hate this place I'm living in. I gotta get outta here....
Holy spit, I typed that fast...
-
I've never really understood how someone can be like that. I'll admit its akward as hell when you meet someone who is "different" but actually hating them for reasons with which they can't change is downright disgusting. Best not to talk about it really.
Jehuty, I feel for you. I know so many people that are simply gamer wannabes, I mean people like different games, but I can't stand close-minded morons that can't even acknowlege the fact that 2D games can be challenging. WTF?! How does the way you view the graphics make the game any harder or easier?
-
Wow, you really do have a reason to not like your parents. I thought you just didn't get along...
-
It wasn't TOO too bad before, I could put up with the native jokes, but now with Morr... I dunno. All I know is I gotta get outta here, STAT!
But enought about me. I agree with Peaches on the gamer thing. A true gamer loves games regardless of the graphics or dimensions displayed.
-
Yeah, Mr. I-love-Descent-and-not-console-games-because-of-better-graphics.
-
Hey, I love Descent mainly for the 350 degree's of movement thing. The graphics are jsut a bonus point. (they're better than FF7's graphics, barring FMV's and battles, yet the game was about 3 years older. Still, the ability to move up, down, left right, forward, backwards, turn left while sliding up, turn right while sliding right, fire lasers while sliding down and turning up, It's great. Make syou lose trakc of where your feet are after a few hours.
-
Only 350?
-
360, SORRY. *sweatdrop*
-
Just so you know, there were also 360 degrees of movement in Mario Kart and F-ZERO
-
Oh, Lazlo.... You poor fool.... Mario Kart and F-Zero only had a mere two degree's of movement. Left and right. At least Starfox had 10. Up, down, left, right, , diagonals, forward, back.
Learn your stuff before you try to out-DOS me. (good luck with that. Only Phex has achieved topping me with DOS, and for good reasons)
-
Swift... How many degrees are there in a circle? 360. You can make a full circle in Mario Kart and F-ZERO. I'm not saying it's the same level, I'm just saying, Descent has way more than 360 degrees.
A degree is NOT a direction you can move in, but instead, as per dictionary.com
Degree n. A planar unit of angular measure equal in magnitude to 1/360 of a complete revolution.
-
That's dictionary.com, Lazlo. They do general definitions, not specific nerd-talk.
How degree's of movement in games are defined as the amount of directions you can move in. Mario Kart and F-Zero are two, because, well, left and right. Notice that the ground you're driving on gives no sensation of going up? It looks like a flat plane? It would be four degree's of movement if it did go up. (left, right, up down. The most common for older-newer racing games)
Most FPS's like Unreal Tournament and Halo are 8 degree's of mocement, since you can move up, down left, right, and the diagonals. Descent is 360 degree's of movement, since you can move in ANY freaking direction you want. ANY. Up, down, left, right, forward, backwards, turn left while sliding up, turn right while sliding right, fire lasers while sliding down and turning up, it's all good.
THAT is why I love Descent so much. The freedom of movement is just... astounding. Sure, the 8 degree's of movement in Privateer is good, but.... It's not Descent....
Holy spit, there's more nerd-ism's in there than I care to know.
-
I'd say Swift is right on with that one. In Descent you are not glued to the floor, you are able to go to every part of the room (assuming it's not filled with something harmful) and look at every other part of the room at every angle.
Ever fought upside down on Halo? I think not. Surely you'll say that space sims have done it; however, that was the brilliance of Descent. You're still confined in the level.
That being said, Descent still isn't my favorite game or anything though.
-
I understand that you can go anywhere, I've played the game. However, Swift, what you're thinking about is directions of movement.
-
Lazlo, when have I EVER thought straight?
But yeah, cool thing in Descent is you can mix up floor with cieling, and it wouldn't make a lick of difference.
