Introduction: some may know most of it already, and some wanted to know... soooo here goes the story for me and Bu/Laura :) She may add her viewpoints in it laters as well :)
2002
I was in the middle of a messy relationship, second time I tried to cope with the girl who was my first gf, things were getting really bad. Then some day I got a mail, a girl from England praising me for my Final Fantasy 6 fanart that she saw online we started talking by mail, since I like to be friendly to all ppl who praises me for my work...
One month later my relationship ended, I was happy and radiant to be rid from my ex gf, no hard feelings, just happy to have her as just a friend and to be free from relationships :) In fact... I truly wanted to be alone for some time, and I told everyone that my next girlfriend was to be really my soulmate!
As time passed Laura and I got closer and closerr in our mails and I got gradually desperate to notice I was falling for her... If I didn't want relationships, let alone be withy a girl far younger than me living in another continent (I live in Brasil)... so I tried to avoid this feeling... tried to go out with another girl over here, but things always gone wrong... (or right in my actual viewpoint:P)...
Then she was to send me her photos, I was not giving much importance at that, but really wished that she was ugly, after all, if not, it would just become a plus to my feelings... then the mail came... as I open the photo... "nooooooo she is not beautiful, she is perfect!! Exactly like I always dreamt!" and I remember that when I replied her saying she is quite, she said that she cried... that really made me want to hug her there.
But yet I was determined to avoid such a risky relationship and tried to know another girl... but that was not good either... then Valentine's day came. Laura was really defensive by that time and always said she hateds romantic stuff and even valentine's day, but even so I decided to send a card, as a friend... And in the reply she simple devastated any defenses I could have... she said she cried and that I was a Beam of hope in her life... That made me remember how I always wanted to know a girlfriend by saving/protecting her someway :) Then I decided that crazy or not, I should try to be with her because I loved the girl!
Sooo slowly I got to talk to her and then I asked her to be my girlfriend... and she accepted :) Surprisingly enough, opposed to all the anti-romantic attitude she usually shown, with me, she became the most sweet girl ever... caring, kind, romantic... all that I always wished for...
Time passed and we got through a lot together, but many problems got around us... we had arguments on almost a daily basis and she seemed very depressed... then one day I decided that I should break up with her (this was in the middle of 2003) so she could find a guy who could make her truly happy... but as I woke up and stated that, the chain on the dragon necklace she gave me broke apart... that gave me the creeps... then I postponed the break up...
So finally came a day when we had a big fight and I decided to truly brealk up... I felt like i had failed in protecting her and making her happy... and I knew Id miss her, but we broke up, stayed as friends though...
Since september 2003 til april 2005 we had a troublesome friendship, with both trying to find someone that was like each other... I got really disappointed when a girlfriend was not so wonderful with me as Laura, or when they complained about me for some reason... also my self confidence dropped by the feeling of failing Laura, and worst everytime she felt sad...
Then this year a friend introduced me to a girl, for some reason she reminded me of Laura and I gone blindly towards her simply for the idea of that resemblance, but again things gone bad and then I saw that what I truly hoped was to find someone like my dear plincess (as I call Laura :P)... but yet I kept that to me...
Next day I told Laura about my break up, she was very sharp towards me, no matter what I said... and the next day was the same, then I asked "What is all that for?" And she admited that she never accepted our break up... really I was expecting something like that, but my heart still jumped to my mouth... for instance I realized that she was all I wanted for a girl in my life, and it brought all the memories we had... from the great times til the crushing pain frrom when we broke up... then I was taken by a terrible feeling of confusion and responsability, felt like the universe's destiny was in my hands... because for me, in that momment, she was like the universe :) Then I explaned her all the reasons for our break up and after a week we decided to go back together :)
Now... here we are. together and happy, never thought someone exactly like I dreamed since childhood would even exist, let alone love me back as I love her :D
So that is it, thanx for the patience to everyone who reads and thank you honey for being part of that story that changed my life in the best possible way =^.^=

##^.^##
*doesn't know what to say* Makes me feel all shy and silly and light as air again hearing our story told ^.^ Having trouble spelling anything correctly too  Such is the life of a love struck teen...XD
Well as Clest said, that's our story, we'll have known each other 3 years this September (seems hard to believe o.o)...just goes to prove long-distance relationships CAN work ;) We haven't met yet, but we hope to do so someday soon as possible and maybe someday live together :)
If anyone would like to donate the money for the return flight and hotel from one country to another, please do...XD
And to Clest, thanks for telling our story so well honey :) As always, Eu amo voce my dear ^.^ <3
-
Cool. Sorry guys, I was the one who asked for this.
-
YAY thanx honey, and yeah, donate and you will be saved! *dress like the priests from old RPGs :P*
And not a problem Lazlo :)
-
I'd donate, but, alas, I need to pay for my own travels. Adventure, as I've said before, doesn't come easily where I live.
-
Well I am too bquite to travel by adventure, but id go to hell promptly if it was to see my plincess :D
-
Oh, sure, hell, but would you go to Kenya just to see her?
-
Such is the life of a love struck teen...XD
Ah, how I can vouch for that.
If I had the money, I would pay for all expenses to have you two go wherever you two want to go. England, Brasil, Alabama *shot*, or as you two once to me: "You live in paradise." And, well, frankly, I would say that Canada would be a good place for a young couple. It has all you want, without having huge freaking cities like New York (so long as you stay in Alberta. Ontario gets pretty big, with Toronto and stuff.)
But, when Snowcraft is published, the second thing that I do will be to see to your two's happiness. Count on it. (note: The second thing. I don't know how long the first thing will take.... That's up to her)
-
As well as your stamina *bricked*
-
Not just go to Kenya, I would even challege the devil at a drawing contest! "If you win you get this shiiiny pen made of gold, but if you loooose the devil eats your soul!!!" XD Really id go to Kenya, malasia, or any of those war places out there *just would take her away with me, no way that wed stay there XD)
BTW thanx Swift XD
-
You still owe us an explanation on "Plincess"
-
very touching, and it goes to show that you akk will be even happier once you're together in person.
good luck meeting up someday
-
Well I am too bquite to travel by adventure, but id go to hell promptly if it was to see my plincess :D
You are a noble man! However, I think finding the time to make the necessary funds would be a tad easier than Hell.
Although the travelling expenses to Hell are quite reasonable.
Zaijian,
Tiger
-
But Hell is not that great a place to meet the girl of your dreams. I find Hawaii or Newport to be much more satisfactory.
-
Lazlo: pLincess came out from an habit we have in Brasil of talking like little kids to the person we love, dont ask me for a deeper reason, its in our culture since I was born :P And I always tpught of calling my dream girl plincess, funnhy enough, Laura was not my first gf, but the first and only I called plincess :)
Herb: Thanx really, if we can survive distance, we will be together no matter what :D
Tiger and Swift: Well I hate hot places, both hell and hawaii are bad, but from hell I can escape challenging the devil to a duel of feedles >D
-
Interesting.
And not to be cynical, but I would have thought that after a long relationship with someone from across the country, but, three years into it, we broke up, and don't talk much anymore...
-
Well in 7 months we broke up, talked very little for some time, fought a lot, then came back together :) now, 4 months and not a single argument :)
-
That's the spirit!
-
So yeah.
=^-^=
-
Monseigneur Cortez, you perpetually amuse me.
Zaijian,
Tiger
-
Thankyou for your kind wishes everyone, we really appreciate them ^.^
I think Canada's looking like our first choice for where to go and live together, so we'll see you there Swiftman, hopefully sometime soon :D
-
I've heard nothing but good things about Canada, and being here and knowing people like Swift, Kary, Lacus, and Faris has made me want to go there even more someday.
-
Keep in mind that I may have been overplaying Canada a wee bit. Not much, but a little. Example: I don't talk about the jerks here. Canada tends to make people tough, and tough jerks aren't needed. However, if your'e people like Clest, it shouldn't matter. (his first name is a transformer, and a huge transformer at that. Clest has gotta be tough.
But yes, from my unopinionated view and looking at the statistics, Canada is a great place for young couples, especcially the Wetaskiwin/Edmonton area. You can still live in a small city (wetaskiwin) yet you're still within an hours driving distance to teh largest shopping mall in North America. You can't tell me that's not cool. And seeing the kinds of people that Clest and Bu are, (Clest liking cities, and Bu [from what I know] wanting to get out of the city, it should be great for them. [well, Clest likes having things taller than him around, and the tree's here are HUGE. He owuld like them])
Since my information on Clest and Bu are a wee bit sketchy, I cna't say much. I just know what Canada is good for, and young couples flourish around here, no matter what kind of couple they are. (Edmonton is a big city, but the air isn't yellow. The sky is blue, the air is nice and breathable (compared to Houston or Los Angeles. COUGH COUGH HACK!) but if you want nice vacation spots, I have [bold]GOT[/bold] to take you two to Waterton. Holy crap, that place is just...... ughhegah, PERFECT. I'm gonna take Morrigan there one day, and you two should go too. That place is so freaking nice and perfect and EVERYTHING that you can't help but want to live there (nigh impossible, since it's a provincial park)
But yes, you two would be great in Canada. I just know it.
-
Monseigneur Cortez, you perpetually amuse me.
Zaijian,
Tiger
Define perpetually.
-
HEY where did you find that transformer Swift? I searched a database and nothing came for it XD Was something like Superion or Metroplex perhaps? XD
And yeah Canada sounds like fun XD
-
Statistically, I believe it's Canada and Australia that always seem to be trading places in the top spot for the country with the highest standard of living, approval of government, home satisfaction, etc. It's interesting that both nations were previously British Commonwealths, both have relatively small populations, and both have huge tracts of land that are barely habitable/inhabitable by average humans.
My theory is that the less humans you have in an area, the better that area will be!
::a worker mech stops to hold up a sign behind Tiger that reads "Jaded!"::
Back to work, you!

Yes, countries with less people tend to seem more pleasent, unless you like places that have huge freaking cities like New York and Sao Paulo. If you like mid-large cities, yet still like to live in the country, Canda is prime, man. You can live north of Edmonton (it ain't expanding that way, only south) and you can have a huge farm land 20 kilometers out of the city, and you won't ever have to worry about having the city expand into your land or having to drive for hours to get to the largest mall in Northam. (Maybe the western side of Edmonton, if you want to be closer to West Edmonton Mall.)
Heh. I'm like the HitchHikers Guide to Canada (especcially Alberta)
And the transformer Bruno, Clest, I haven't seen too often. it was jsut on one Transformers children's book I read. (yes, it was a children's book, but I read it anyways! It had transformers in it.)
-
And there you have it, RoboSquire CrystalMan.
(I meant to type "RoboSquire CrystalMan".)
-
Pirate strikes again....
-
Wheee Canada!
-
Wheee Canada!
I don't know why that's funny, but it is.
Anyway, Swift, yes we have places like New York, which has its own ups and downs, but we also have the Rocky Mountains, the Midwest, the Shenandoah Valley. We have just as many wide open and rugged spaces as you. Actually, much more, since all of ours is habitable, and we have more of those big old cities you don't like too. We have more everything.
Including more people, and such is our downfall!
Also, we have more George W. Bushes. ::moves to New Zealand::
Zaijian,
Tiger

Yes, Paul Martin is much more likeable i my eyes than Bush. *stays in Canada*
-
Boy, I am pissed, really wont have a long life staying in Sao Paulo, its Monday 10:29pm and Ive had stress enough for a mounth in a single day >.>
Really population = disgrace and that is the worst in Brasil, the only decent places are in south regions because they are very suspicious with strangers, in fact if you get to a town in south, they observe you, if you stay there for 2 months unnemployed, they pay your tickets so you can go back to your own town and dont stay there! VERY wise... But in Sao Paulo no... any one comes here and mount their houses from pices of trash and rooten wood which look as ugly as any structure could look ever! Then they stay poor because you need college to have a nice job and still fuck like there is no tomorow without prevention having THOUSANDS of small starving children that will stay poor or become thieves. Meanwhile our politics gain more money than they could spend in their entire lifespan MONTHLY.
Just today I had all kinds of troubles with transport to get to work, had to stay on FULL and I mean full enough that you can barely breath, bus, standing on my feet (or trying) after five busses have ignored the bus stop where I was, then the bus skiped the place I was to get off and I walked a LOT to arrive at work and find we had energy down! This not to mention the dark grey atmosphere, trash all over the streets, terrible traffic and yet the city being giant enough so you take hours from a place to another, is still small for the increasing population!
This considering or crime rates are lower than in Rio de Janeiro, last weak a mafia of drug dealers closed two tunnels there and robbed EVERYONE inside the cars in front of the police!
Is this a country? heh >.>
Dunno if new York can top all that bad things, but Tiger said it has some good sides, which we dont!
-
Well, I hope that I may help here a bit by plugging Canada, which seems to help....
Edmonton is really quite a car city. Not that many walk, but there's still quite a few tree's that really help with the air pollution. (nicely breathable compared to other cities)
Crime in Edmonton is quite low. The police force is strong and effective, and so is the fire department. Arsons still go around, but they are usually dealt with before anything big happens.
Poverty is almost nonexistant, since there's plenty of low-qual jobs that need doing, so people with no education can still get a job. And if you've gone to college, then good things indeed await. College people can get richly awarded if you know where to go.
The province of Alberta in itself is the richest province in Canada. We have massive oil reserves in Northern Alberta that makes us a mint. We're the only debt free province ever, and Ralph Klein does a damn good job at his job of premier. He makes a LOT of money, and he uses the money. Out of about $14 billion made in a year, only $1 billion is used for surplus. (not much compared to other provinces. They usually have half of their money put in reserve to take out debt)
Edmonton has about 900,000 people, and is nearing 1 million. However, compared to Sao Paulo, it shouldn't be a problem. Most of the people here are nice and decent, and they make an honest living.
West Edmonton Mall is, from what i've heard, the second largest mall in the world (I heard there's one huge one in Japan that's 3 times West Ed's size, but I haven't verified that) From what I know for sure, West Ed is the largest mall in the world. I've been there a lot of times, and I'm almost bored of it already. There's a LOT of Marvel comic stores, (which I like.)
And....... Well, that's Alberta in a nutshell.
-
Well, since we're all plugging our hometowns. I live in Bessemer, the scummiest area around. I live just a few blocks from city hall, and you know how those areas are... *Looks across the street at the crappy apartment building* However, Hoover, which isn't very far away, is a nice place. Very clean, an dit has a nice mall there that isn't very large, but is still quite a nice place to buy video games or play in the arcade. It's about half an hour away from my hosue. Twenty minutes in the other direction brings you to VisionLand, a nice little amusement park with a few fun rides. It's not really worth it to pay daily admission, but if you ahve a season pass (and some friends), it's very fun to go to. The city's tring to clean up. Property values are rising, you're seeing less and less of the scum that used to make up this place, they're replacing the roads. I daresay that someday in the not to distant future, this place might be liviable.
-
At least your place is evolving Lazlo :P Mine is decaying, gotta be outta here as soon as possible :)
-
As a note: Edmonton isn't my hometown. I don't want it to be, really, I like Nanton FAR better. I'd much rather live there than Edmonton (or Newport, California...)
-
Clest, you really, REALLY worry me when you talk about all the bad things in Sao Paulo x.x
I don't like to talk about my town, for the safety of all of you. It gives me the urge to go on a salmon-and-pointy-stick-fuelled killing rampage
-
*gets in Pyro-GX and prepares for rage when it happens*
-
Don't worry, no rages here, but if you'd like one, it'll only cost a small fee of, say...10 billion dollars?
-
Well those things are plainly the truth honey, in fact I didnt talk about how bad politics are here and not either about public hospitals (glad I got medical coverage from my job :P) and the schools, which are more like a drug dealers nest... while in US a boy going to school with a gun appears in all newspapers, here its quite commom...
But nah had a crappy day really, just hope tomorow is better u.u
But as long as I get out of here in 5 years or less, I will survive honey =^.^=
-
That story.......brings tears.
-
Really? or its just sarcasm? :P (and no, no problem if its sarcasm, I will just joke back :P)
-
Really? or its just sarcasm? :P (and no, no problem if its sarcasm, I will just joke back :P)
No sarcasm.
