I wish I could help...but there's nothign I can do...

All I can say, is to check everything again, there should be a system restore option in the control panel, and it would restore any "harmful changes" that might have been done to your computer. And if that doesn't fix it, you can always put it back to normal. if your using Windows that is. Otherwise I don't know.

You probably need to update your video card driver.  Go to the manufacturer's website.

Ok, find your "My Computer" icon, and then right click it, then click properties. The window that pops up should say what version of windows you're using. If it's not NT or XP, then those don't have restore points.

Then that's why you can't find it. No System Restore in 98. The only thing I could think of, other than what's been suggested, is a reformat.

Man, wish I had that sort f luxury. "Oh, my computer is frazzle snazzled. I'll just buy a new one." HA! Man, I wish I had that kind of money.... My laptop is taken VERY good care of, and I'm making it last. (I love the 6+ hour battery life.) And my dos computer, my one  of two babies, is kept in the utmost of shape, with Norton Commander and advanced DOShell and everything to make it work wonders. (It has windows, but I don't use it for anything other than automatic XMS and EMS memory, and easier sound card drivers set up. I don't use it for nothing other than that.)

I wish I still had a DOS computer... or even my old Apple II! But, my parents decided that every time we bought a new computer, we had to throw the old one out... sigh..

(I have way too many computers... Glad I have a huge room in the absement)

Nope. Don't got that. (and I disabled images, since this guy's wireless internet is REALLY sketchy at this range. It goes good and fast with jsut text, and that's all I need.)
