Heh, I actually remember having trouble with Rubicant when I first fought him.  Probably the most annoying boss in FF II (IV) would be that damn wall.

Stupid Wall.

Although casting slow worked well on it.

I never really had any problem with the fiends. I laughed when Rubicant would heal me, because I was just going to kill him anyway.

I have no idea what this is about, but I'll take "care" of the bikini-clad Fiends for ya.

Semi-on-topic: I now have FFIV for GBA. The fiends will fall before my might!

The Dreadful Fight is available for download on Group 7 :)

Of course, it would be nice if someone could record the Prologue theme, World Map theme, Battle 1 theme, Cave theme, Battle 2 theme, Dreadful Fight, Final Battle, and Credits songs... but I can be patient.  I'm curious as to how they adapter the soundtrack to the (dreadful) GBA synth.

edit:  It appears CaitSith2's GSF archive has been updated with FFIV already.  tbqh, I like most of the songs BETTER than the SNES originals.  Most of the crappy bass synth I hear in other GBA games seems to have been used very well in this game... only makes me anticipate FFV and FFVI even more!

Yes, I was happily surprised as well.  I still like the Super NES music better, but it's better than how they raped games like Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Link to the Past, and more.

Call me crazy, but I don't really consider (relatively) faithful GBA ports "raping".

Ports HAVE to have quality music to be considered a faithful port.  Unfortunately, the GBA synth usually rapes SNES SPC sounds, but this time around Square actually seemed to try. :)

I do when they sound awful and they change random notes for no apparent reason.
